The danger will be that we'll misunderstand the real truth about history. This will destroy our knowledge towards history also. It is important that we do not treat movies as real life matters because, as i said, movies are just part of entertainment. If we depend on movie to find out historical information, then there will not be a need to take history as a subject, right? It is important that we do not take in fake information into our heads and we must find out the real thing and differentiate what is the real or fake information. Therefore, this are the dangers if we depend on movies as a reliable source for historical information.

You will learn the wrong thing which can cause a huge impact in the future depend on what type of job you are doing. Mostly, to the point that the other people or those children who are younger will think the wrong way that the history is actually like that and those in the future will do things that are unexpected. Thats why the movies need to stated whether is accorddingly to it or they edited it. But I still think its better to create your own movie then taking it.

The danger is that the audience would misunderstand the real historical meaning for what is depicted in the movies. It is not a reliable source for us because directors often change the original story, regardless of how much they change it.
ReplyDeleteWe need to use our own common sense and knowledge to analyse whether it is true or not. It is very important that we do not misunderstand the fake knowledge. Thus, this are the dangers of movies as historical information.
The danger will be that we will misunderstand the real truth about history and also learn about the wrong thing which would live a huge impact in our live as what we are learning might not be a reliable source to depend on as directors would usually edit the original story so as to make it look more interesting and stand out from the rest.It is important that we do not take in fake information from these so called historical movie into our brains and we must first find out the real thing of the histroy the movie is trying to tell and differentiate what is the real or fake information inside this movie so that we would not be fake into these kind of information. Thus we should not always depend on movies for real information as who knows what danger it has within.

The danger is that we might misunderstood the truth behind the true history story. As directors of movies often change the true history strory and if young children watch the movie, they might believe that what the movie show is true thus learning the wrong thing. For example, like in the movie '300', the soldiers do not wear any clothes and go for war, but actually in the real history, they wear a heavy armor that protected their body from head to toes. If the young children watched '300' and see the soldiers not wearing any clothes and go for war, they might believe in the wrong thing and grow up to think that soldiers do not need to to wear armor for war. These, are the dangers of depending on movies for reliable source for historical information.

the informations are changed most of them...so if we only rely on movies for historical information it will be incorrect some may be real while some was just make up story we may end up embarresed with the wrong facts that we think that it is a fact we will be if we use this wrong information this wrong fact on the wrong time. ReplyDeleteIf we depend on movies as a reliable source for historical information, we will get the wrong information. Others will also think that the source in the movies is true and slowly more and more people will think that the make up history is true and no one will believe the true one is true. The smaller generation will misunderstood the history too and this will also destroy our own knowledge. Slowly, we will not be able to know which parts of the story is true and which parts is false. Remember that movies are just a form of entertainment not true and so we should not believe it.

If we were to trust movies as a reliable source of information, whatever lies the movies show us, we will just believe it without thinking it is true or not. If whatever movie we see is true, there will not be a need to study history. That is why movies are only regarded as entertainment. Trusting movies will affect our future, example if we were to want to be a historian and the judges were to ask us something about the history that the movie had shown, when we say everything that we saw in the movie, people would laugh at us. If we had children, they would also take in the wrong information. So before we conclude that whatever the movie says is true, we should think about it and be able to differentiate which information is true or not. The information you get from watching the movie will not be the same as the director for the movie would change the plot. The director would also summaries the whole story,so the duration of the whole movie would be just nice - short and sweet. They would not drag the whole story to make the whole thing boring for the audience.Overall, it is not reliable to rely on the movie.

ReplyDeleteThe danger of depending on movies as a reliable source for historical information is that movies are for entertainment, not information. The directors do not follow the "real" historical information. They change the plot to make it more interesting, so as to attract more audiences to watch the movie. Why do they do that? It is because that they want to earn more money. Giving "real" historical information does not help them attract audience nor get a reward. That's why we should never trust movies to give real historical information.

ReplyDeleteThe dangers will be historical events that occur in movies are usually not real. This will result the audience to misunderstand the the events that showed in the movies and take them as the real truth of history. Directors will either add in some scenes that never happened and change the plot of the movies that are different from real life just to make the movies more interesting and attractive so that more people will watch the movies. This is a way that the directors can earn money.
ReplyDeleteLet's take Fearless, Huo Yuan Jia as an example, Huo Yuan Jia did not have any decendants and was rich. However,in true history,he did have decendants and was not rich as he worked as a farmer.
The technology nowadays is very high-tech. Videos, photographs and movies can be edited by just clicking a small little click.
All in all, I think it is important not to believe the fake historical events in the movies as movies is not a reliable source for historical information.

The people viewing the movies might mistake them as the real past and that might lead to misconceptions. Gradually no one will know what really happened in the scenes the movie showed.Even if the events that happened is real, the plot is usually dramatised in order to attract more people, and to make more money, which are motives of making the movie in the first place.

The danger of depending on movies as a reliable source for historical information is after we see these movies, we may have misconceptions of what really happened in back at that time. We have misconceptions because no one can create a exact duplicate of what really happened at that time. The directors will change the plot and in the end, it will become another whole new story, which will be really confusing for us.

If the viewers accept what they see without researching on the truth there will be many problems as different people look at a movie in different ways thus making it very confusing for those who analyse differently from what the director wants the audience to realise.

we can't totally trust movies as a source of history because the way the movies goes is dependent on the director himself.for example if the director favors the antagonists, the storyline will go such that the bad guy will always win any contest or things shown in the movie and that will make the movie boring SO DOES VICE VERSA.this will makwe us misunderstaND THe history and people will start 'believing' the history

There will be danger of depending on movies as a reliable source for historical information as they are not primary sources but they are secondary sources. As they are make by people who is not involved in the past historical events there will be some scenes taken with some changes due to the difficulties they have. By this, there might be some misunderstanding going on thus the person who makes it can not pass the thought of his to other people correctly. The dangers that we face are very real, firstly, we might get the wrong information for our history test. Secondly, minors might emulate actions(violence and unaccepted behaviour in society) which might prove fatal and dangerous as some movies are edited in such way that there is a lot of violence added to it, even though there might not be any in the history behind it. The dramatization of events will also edit characters and their personality so as to make them look more heroic when sometimes there are no even such characters.

The dangers are getting the wrong informations and thus, lead to making mistakes in our lifes cause we misunderstand some history facts. We may make mistakes in our history tests. They may influence us to carry out violence and prohibited behaviours as some movies contains a lot of violence. Most movies give wrong information cause some directors changed it and they are a lot of hisotry myths that are untrue. They may make the movie more exaggerated and may cause misleading to us. Thus, it is encouraged not to trust movies as a reliable source of history.
